Day-by-Day Itinerary
On arrival, a private transfer takes you to your hotel to settle in. Spend the remainder of the day at your own pace relaxing after your journey.
Take a guided city tour through Dar es Salaam, stopping by Mnazi Mmoja Park, Azania Front Lutheran Church, and Kivukoni Fish Market. Continue to the National Museum, Village Museum, TingaTinga Market, and Mwenge Carvings Market before admiring Coco Beach.
Travel north to historic Bagamoyo to explore the 13th-century Kaole Ruins and the old ferry site along the Wami River. You can pause for lunch at a local restaurant, with the option of arranging a traditional Ngoma dance session at the Bagamoyo School of Arts.
Board the morning ferry across to Zanzibar, where a private transfer takes you north to your beachside resort in Nungwi. Unwind for the afternoon by the water before dining at the resort.
Immerse yourself in Zanzibari culture on a guided island tour covering a local fish market, traditional dhow construction, and everyday village life. You will also visit a village school, explore a natural turtle aquarium, and discover how island dishes are prepared with local spices.
Head south to Fumba to embark on a traditional dhow cruise around the Menai Bay Conservation Area. Spot wild dolphins, snorkel among vibrant coral reefs, ride a traditional ngalawa outrigger canoe, and swim in Kwale Island's mangrove lagoon before returning north.
Enjoy breakfast at your resort before your transfer arrives to take you to Zanzibar airport for your flight home.
