Journey through Delhi, Agra and Jaipur to discover majestic forts, the timeless Taj Mahal and vibrant royal heritage.
Delhi, Agra and Jaipur together form India's celebrated Golden Triangle, a route steeped in history, architecture and culture. Delhi welcomes travellers with a lively blend of old and new, where the imposing Red Fort stands not far from the bustling energy of Connaught Place, offering a glimpse into both Mughal heritage and modern city life. From here, the journey continues to Agra, home to the incomparable Taj Mahal, a marble masterpiece that has come to symbolise love and represents the pinnacle of Mughal artistry and craftsmanship. The final leg of the journey brings travellers to Jaipur, fondly known as the Pink City, where royal palaces, colourful bazaars and hilltop forts such as the magnificent Amber Fort create an atmosphere of regal charm. Each of these three cities has its own distinct character, yet all share a wealth of local food, markets and traditions that reveal different facets of Indian life and history. Together, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur offer travellers a deeper understanding of India's rich heritage, weaving together stories of empires, artistry and everyday culture. This Golden Triangle route serves as an outstanding introduction to the country, combining iconic landmarks with authentic local experiences across seven memorable days.
On arrival in Delhi, transfer to your hotel and check in. You then have the remainder of the day at leisure to relax and begin absorbing the atmosphere of India's vibrant capital, where ancient heritage sits alongside modern city life.
Discover Old and New Delhi on a guided tour, driving past the Red Fort and visiting the Jama Masjid mosque before enjoying a cycle rickshaw ride through bustling backstreets. You will also visit Raj Ghat, India Gate, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, and the Sikh shrine of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.
Drive from Delhi to Agra and explore the imposing red sandstone Agra Fort, a grand stronghold of the Mughal Empire. Later, browse the bustling local markets or spend the afternoon at leisure, before visiting the Mehtab Bagh gardens across the river to admire sunset views over the Taj Mahal.
Witness the Taj Mahal at sunrise, taking in the iconic white-marble monument built by Emperor Shah Jahan. Afterwards, travel towards Jaipur, stopping en route to explore the remarkably preserved Mughal ruins of Fatehpur Sikri, before arriving in Rajasthan's Pink City for an evening at leisure.
Ascend by jeep to explore the hilltop Amer Fort and see the nearby Panna Meena stepwell, followed by a photo stop at Jal Mahal. Continue to Jaipur's City Palace Museum, the Jantar Mantar Observatory, the iconic facade of Hawa Mahal, and the vibrant Patrika Gate, with optional time for shopping.
