Discover Sri Lanka's ancient fortresses, misty tea hills and wild safaris on an unforgettable 11-day island journey.
Sri Lanka is a tropical island nation in South Asia, celebrated for its diverse landscapes, rich history and vibrant culture. Set in the Indian Ocean, the island reveals golden beaches, lush tea plantations, ancient ruins and wildlife-filled national parks within a remarkably compact area. Cities such as Colombo and Kandy showcase handsome colonial architecture alongside colourful traditional festivals, while iconic sites like Sigiriya and Anuradhapura reveal the island's deep-rooted Buddhist heritage stretching back centuries. This 11-day tour weaves together Sri Lanka's coastal charm, hill country beauty and cultural treasures. Travellers begin in the fishing town of Negombo before venturing inland to climb the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress and pay respects at Kandy's sacred Temple of the Tooth. The journey continues into the cool, tea-scented hills of Nuwara Eliya, often called "Little England" for its colonial-era charm, before heading to Yala National Park for an exhilarating wildlife safari. The itinerary rounds off with relaxation on Bentota's golden beaches and a final exploration of bustling, historic Colombo. Sri Lankan cuisine, flavourful and spiced with influences from India and the island's colonial past, adds another dimension to the experience, as does the chance to learn about the island's renowned tea, spice and gemstone industries. With its warm, welcoming people and remarkable natural beauty, this Sri Lanka tour offers a unique and unforgettable journey through one of Asia's most captivating destinations.
